Where does the data come from?
Live public data from official government sources covering reservoir and river levels, mountain snowpack, statewide and county drought, river water quality, and drinking-water violation history. Nevada's hydrographic basin designations and perennial-yield status are real, dated official figures, cited rather than live-fetched. Each figure in the app is labeled by how solid it is: provisional, reviewed, reported, last-known, or unavailable.
Does this app require an internet connection?
Yes. Nevada Water Watch fetches live readings from public government data services to stay current.
Does the app use my location?
No. Nevada Water Watch does not request or use your location. It presents statewide and site-level data for fixed monitoring locations across Nevada.

What data is stored: Any preferences (such as saved locations) are kept locally on your device. This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us, to Apple, or to any third party.
What data we fetch: The app makes outbound requests to public government water-data services to display current conditions. These are one-way reads of public data. No personal or device information is sent as part of these requests beyond what's inherent to any standard network request.
What data we collect: None. Nevada Water Watch uses no analytics or advertising SDKs and has no account system.
